Palliative care in U.S. hospitals has increased for the 11th consecutive year, primarily in response to increased needs of Americans living with serious and chronic illness. Palliative care is a specialized treatment option that offers advanced pain and symptom management to patients with chronic, progressive illness (such as heart disease, lung disease, dementia, cancer) regardless of prognosis, and can be received at the same time as active treatment. Join our Palliative Care team as they discuss who can benefit, what services are provided and how it can help patients live their lives to the fullest despite their illness.
