Ultrasound

Milford Regional’s acquisition of Philips intelligent ultrasound systems makes 4D images possible. Read more about the intelligent ultrasound system. 

Ultrasound is an imaging technique that uses high-frequency sound waves that are reflected off internal tissues or organs to make an echo. The echo patterns are displayed on a television screen.

To learn more about ultrasound (sometimes called sonography), refer to the list below and choose the procedure that has been scheduled for you. Here you will find out what to expect during your ultrasound and how to prepare. You may also speak with your physician.

Pre-Registration

Patients should call to pre-register up to two weeks in advance for any scheduled surgery and out-patient appointment including most diagnostic tests, lab work and pre-operative testing. This eliminates the need to wait for an admissions representative upon arrival. Patients can go directly to their point of service. Admissions representatives are available to take calls from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
