Breastfeeding doesn’t always come easy to new mothers who are learning how to feed their newborns. Milford Regional’s prenatal breastfeeding class will cover how the body produces breastmilk, how to establish and maintain one’s milk supply, how to sustain a comfortable latch and what to expect the first few days of breastfeeding. The class will also review the many breastfeeding positions, infant feeding patterns, pumping, when to give a bottle and how to store breast milk. Expectant moms will learn all about breastfeeding and how to set up a solid foundation for a successful feeding journey. This class will be led by lactation consultant Danielle Donovan, RN, BSN, IBCLC.
