Breast Health
We are pleased to announce that UMass Memorial Health has begun to operate a breast health practice at Milford Regional Medical Center. The addition of this UMass surgical practice allows for the continuation of comprehensive breast health services right here in Milford.
The breast health practice is currently located on the fourth floor of Milford Regional’s Hill Health Center.
Milford Regional provides mammography and other breast imaging, so individuals can receive all breast health needs, locally.
UMass Memorial Health surgeon Anne C. Larkin, MD, serves as the medical director of the breast health practice. Dr. Larkin specializes in breast surgery, parathyroid surgery, and thyroid surgery.
With more than 20 years of experience, she is recognized for her dedication and commitment to caring for her patients with compassion and ensuring that every individual has a care plan that provides the most optimal outcomes for their breast cancer journey. She works collaboratively with her colleagues to ensure seamless care for her patients in a multidisciplinary team setting. She completed her medical training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed her general surgery residency at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. She subsequently served in the United States Navy as Lieutenant Commander on the USS George Washington as the ship’s surgeon and at Portsmouth Naval Hospital. Board certified in general surgery, she brings a wealth of clinical experiences to her students at UMass Chan Medical School and is advancing medical education in her academic roles as vice provost and senior associate dean of educational affairs and associate professor of surgery.
Joining Dr. Larkin at The Breast Center is Kate Dinh, MD, and Jessica Chapman, FNP-C
Dr. Dinh is a breast surgical oncologist who specializes in treating patients with breast cancer, as well as benign and high-risk breast conditions. She is board-certified in general surgery and earned her medical degree from New York Medical College. She completed her residency training in general surgery at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She then pursued fellowship training in breast surgical oncology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She returned to Worcester in 2019 to establish her clinical practice. As an assistant professor at UMass Chan Medical School, Dr. Dinh uses her strong foundation in clinical practice to educate the next generation of breast surgeons. Dr. Dinh takes pride in the relationships she develops with her patients as she guides them through their breast cancer journeys. She considers it a real privilege to take care of her patients.
Jessica Chapman is a nurse practitioner whose clinical focus encompasses all aspects of breast disease, malignant and benign. She also runs the high-risk breast clinic and has a passion for risk reduction counseling and screening.
