Pediatrics
Milford Regional and Boston Children’s Physicians have entered into a collaboration to bring the expertise of physicians from one of the nation’s top ranked hospitals in pediatric care closer to those living in Metrowest and Central Massachusetts. Milford Regional is one of the few hospitals in this region that can offer the expertise of Boston Children’s physicians on its medical staff, saving parents a trip into Boston to access this care. Boston Children's physicians provide emergency, hospital and newborn care services at Milford Regional.
Emergency Services
When your child needs emergency care, you know they’ll get the best care possible when it matters most. Boston Children’s physicians collaborate with Milford Regional’s emergency medicine physicians and nurses to ensure exceptional child-focused care.
Hospital Care
If your child needs care for 24 – 48 hours, they will be taken care of in a newly designated area in the emergency department. This area includes spacious rooms that comfortably accommodate the child with his/her parents and are equipped with the most up-to-date medical systems. If specialized pediatric care is needed, transfer to a regional pediatric center will be arranged.
In addition, outpatient pediatric surgeries are performed by highly experienced Milford Regional surgeons in their respective specialty.
Newborn Care
Newborns in The Maternity Center benefit from around-the-clock pediatric care provided by Boston Children’s pediatric hospitalists. These board-certified pediatric hospitalists are available 24/7 to assist obstetricians in the care of mom and baby during delivery; monitor the health of newborns, provide expert care to those that are ill; and prepare mom and baby for a smooth transition home.
