UMass Memorial Health - Milford Regional Medical Center to Host 3rd Annual "Mammograms & Mimosas"

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month (October), UMass Memorial Health - Milford Regional Medical Center will again host “Mammograms & Mimosas,” an event for those who are due for their annual mammogram screening. “Mammograms & Mimosas” will be held on Sunday, October 27 from 8:30 to 10:45 a.m. at the main hospital located at 14 Prospect St. in Milford.

The event is sponsored by UMass Memorial Health – Milford Regional Medical Center’s Cancer Committee and is being planned in concert with the hospital’s Department of Radiology and the UMass Memorial Health Breast Health practice.

“Over the last two years, nearly 60 women have scheduled their annual breast cancer screening during our Mammograms & Mimosas event, inspiring us to continue the tradition of the October event,”
said oncologist/hematologist and Cancer Committee Chair Natalie Sinclair, MD. “By providing mammograms on a Sunday, we aim to give busy women the flexibility to schedule their screening at a more convenient time, while also making their appointment a little more special.”

In addition to the screening mammogram, participants will be offered a free breakfast of pastries, coffee and non-alcoholic mimosa drinks. Participants must be due for their annual screening mammogram and claims will be processed for insurance payments.
