Milford Regional's Tree of Life Fundraiser Taking Place on December 4

Milford Regional Medical Center will once again hold its Tree of Life fundraiser on Monday, December 4 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the hospital.

This special evening celebrates the life and care of those patients and families affected by cancer. Proceeds benefit the Oliva Fund, which provides resources to support patients and their families being treated at Milford Regional and the Dana-Farber/Brigham Cancer Center at Milford Regional.

The event is sponsored by the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation, which raises funds throughout the year to support the hospital’s most urgent and immediate patient care needs.

The December 4 event kicks off with refreshments and entertainment in the Atrium Café, located on the main floor of the hospital, followed by a brief outdoor speaking program and tree lighting ceremony.

Those who wish to donate to the Tree of Life may purchase an angel to be hung on the Christmas tree to honor or in memory of someone affected by cancer. Gift levels include $200 for a gold angel, $100 for a silver angel, $50 for a luminary or $25 for a light. Contributions may be made online at foundation.milfordregional.org/treeoflife and must be received by November 30 to be included in the program.

“Milford Regional’s Tree of Life remains such a poignant ceremony for so many in our community who have been affected by cancer,” said Milford Regional Vice President of Philanthropy and Executive Director of the Milford Regional Healthcare Foundation Emily Quinn. “The event is also a time to reflect and be grateful for the advances the medical community continues to make in treating this disease that affects millions of people.”

For more information on the Tree of Life or to make a contribution, view foundation.milfordregional.org/treeoflife or call 508.422.2228.
