Milford Regional Awards Scholarships
Milford Regional Medical Center has awarded two scholarships to high school graduates who plan to pursue medical studies in college.
The Milford Regional Auxiliary awarded their annual scholarship to Adam Briand of Whitinsville, Thrusha Puttaraju of Hopkinton, and Tyler Vining of Franklin. Each recipient received a $1,000 scholarship. Adam plans on studying biotechnology, Thrusha plans to become a pediatrician and Tyler will pursue a career as an anesthesiologist.
The Perry Volunteer Scholarship was awarded to Kayla Martinis of Bellingham and Kathleen Mendoza of Milford. Candidates for the scholarship are Milford Regional volunteers who best exemplify the characteristics valued by former volunteers Bill and Anne Perry: volunteerism, athletics and a sense of humor. Kayla plans to study obstetrics and gynecology and Kathleen plans to study at Boston University with the hopes of becoming a medical lab technician.
