Respected Physician and Author Speaks on Best Selling Book about Cancer Treatment
David G. Nathan, MD, President Emeritus of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute; Physician-In-Chief Emeritus of Children's Hospital; and Robert A. Stranahan Distinguished Professor of Pediatrics and Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, spoke on his best selling book, The Cancer Treatment Revolution at the Sheraton Hotel Milford on Wednesday, September 26. The lecture was hosted by Milford Regional Medical Center as the first of several events scheduled to highlight the opening of Milford Regional's new cancer care facility in January of 2008, a collaboration with Dana-Farber/Brigham and Women's Cancer Center.
Over 200 attendees gained valuable knowledge about the history of cancer treatment and advances in cancer care through the personal stories told by Dr. Nathan of three indivdiduals. His lecture was followed by a question and answer period. Those in attendance all received an autographed copy of Dr. Nathan's book. General comments from the audience included compliments about Dr. Nathan's down-to-earth lecture style, his approachable manner and vast knowledge.
